They provide mostly the same services, the prices are very similar. What serves as an advantage with Vudu compared to Amazon Instant Videos is that it is much easier to access from abroad. It is also a great advantage for Vudu that they have lots of totally free movies, which is something you will have a hard time finding on Amazon.

However, since Vudu does not have any subscription fee there is no risk in trying their services. Create a user, surf around, and if you like what you see… buy the movie, rent the movie or watch it for free (if it is available in the “Movies On Us” section.)
