I Can Only Imagine – A Movie Worth Watching

Film reviews

A while ago, I got the chance to watch I Can Only Imagine. I discovered it reading an article about the movies and TV series coming to Hulu back in March, and since then, I really wanted to watch the movie.

There are quite a lot of movies I discover in this way. Just like I wanted to watch I Can Only Imagine, there is also a movie about Billy Graham available on Netflix that I would really like to stream. But, what is up with I Can Only Imagine?

Have you ever heard the song “I Can Only Imagine?” It is supposed to be the most played Christian single ever, and it is a song I have listened to and enjoyed myself lots of times. But, did you know that there is a special story behind the birth of the song itself? In I Can Only Imagine, we get to take a deep dive into the story and learn about the song and the man behind the song.

I Can Only Imagine will touch your heart

I didn’t know what to expect, but I looked forward to watching the movie. It didn’t take much time before I got into the story, and it was a fantastic experience from the start till the end. In fact, it touched my heart and even made me cry several times, even though I am not that typical “crying-in-front-of-the-TV guy.” How come? What made the movie so special?

First of all, the fact that a movie makes you cry, doesn’t mean that it has to be good. But, this was a good movie, no doubt about it!

The story about a father who abused his child is never easy to watch. But, as you follow the suffering, both of the father and the child, only to see how Gods grace can bring change, healing, redemption, and hope to a broken family. And to be honest, it is so fantastic that my eyes got wet.

I Can Only Imagine is for everyone

Some people might call this a Christian movie, but it doesn’t have to be placed in that category. This is a true story about a singer and how his career really started. It is an incredible story of a fantastic song, and it is ideal for youth groups, people fighting hopelessness and who simply want to see a movie giving them more than just action and vanishing values.

Go ahead and watch the movie yourself. I am sure you will like it! It can be streamed on Amazon Prime in the USA, on Hulu, and you can purchase it on Amazon.com, in Google Play Store, in Apple Store, and you can also read more about the movie at http://www.icanonlyimagine.com/

How did you like the movie? I would love to hear your thoughts as well!
