Leadership

I love when people speak nicely of me, and I cannot stand it when people criticize me. If I know I have done a mistake is one thing, but if I am criticized, even though I had purely good intentions, that is the worst.

But, there comes a time when you have to let go of such criticism. We are not created to please everyone around us! One day, the question is not whether you pleased your neighbor or not, but whether you managed to fulfill what you were created to do.

A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd – Max Lucado

It is often tempting to blame the people around us for our failures. Maybe you blame your parents, maybe you blame your teachers, your friends, or your spouse… but, at the very end – it is up to you! It is your life, and if you want to go in one direction, walk that direction! Don’t let people direct you with their words or thoughts, but follow the path God has created ready for you!

And, returning to the Max Lucado saying. Every leader will be criticized! But, your job isn’t to listen to everyone who speaks wisdom from the outside but to lead the group entrusted to you. Do what is best for them and lead them according to the wisdom you have been given!

Ps: It doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t listen to people on the outside, but do not let others control you with their opinions and mean words.

If you have any further thoughts or comments related to this saying, please let me know!
